 POSITION OVERVIEW

Danaher Corporate IT manages Office 356 globally to provide a comprehensive set of Microsoft tools for all associates. To achieve this, we require innovative and dedicated leads who provide tactical direction, team building and day-to-day oversight. The overarching goal is to build a central team with a forward-thinking operation.

The Business Applications Manager role serves as owner of application development and support across the Microsoft Office 365 suite, including SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerBi, PowerShell, FLOW and supporting other Corproate applications such as WebTrends, Timberscan, QuickBase, Concur and others. They will be responsible for the implementation of projects, daily maintenance, and service of the Office 365 Application suite and other supported applications. Responsibilities for this position will be to work with cross-functionally departments, cross businesses and collaborating with different teams to ensure applications are effectively managed and enhanced at an enterprise level. The position will be expected to challenge, change and have the opportunity to affect positive outcomes for the organization on a regular basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ownership of the Business Application Services offering, provide solutions that support automation, digitization and Software Development Life Cycle
• Provide oversight for application support and establish KPI’s. Manage work intake, prioritize projects and daily work for the team.
• Manage and provide leadership on projects and devise appropriate development to solve complex problems and prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
• Effectively lead digital automation and transformation by applying appropriate development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technologies such as PowerShell, Flow/PowerApps,.
• Apply continuous improvement methodology to existing applications and applications being developed to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Solicit and review requests for application changes, upgrades, and enhancements to meet the needs of the business.
• Provide direction, training, and technical guidance to team members.
• Foster a supportive team-oriented work climate that enables project and resource team members to develop professionally and that values diversity, promotes teamwork and collaboration, and emphasizes quality, customer satisfaction, creativity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide thought leadership to develop and maintain an application development strategy.
• Act as subject matter expert in Office 365 automation tools suite and enabling technologies, with an understanding of industry best practices.
• Set and continually manage expectations with team members, stakeholders and third-party vendors. Adapt plans and priorities to achieve mutual objectives.
• Work collaboratively with business functions and third-party vendors to identify opportunities for innovation and implement new technologies and solutions.
• Build strong working relationship with Microsoft partners and POLARIS program participation.
• Participate in Kaizen/workshop events to effectively represent IT.
• Participate in industry conferences/seminars and report on existing trends and technologies.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Extensive knowledge of best-practices for Office 365 and supporting technologies.
• Strong foundation in IT Project methodologies and best practices.
• Demonstrated management and supervisory skills, including coaching and mentoring of staff.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Ability to understand data elements, data flow and associated impact to IT processes.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze, document and problem solve with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
• Experience with Vendor Management including working with an onshore / offshore model.
• Ability to work and coordinate with 3rd Parties on data related inquiries.
• Experience in resolving User “How To” questions and creating reference guides, learning, & communications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and/or sponsor process improvement initiatives.
• Sense of professionalism and ability to resolve escalated support issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise applications and support.
• 4-year college, Bachelor’s degree (BA).
• Office 365 proficiency including SharePoint and Power Platform.
• Experience with case management systems.
• Programming experience including .NET/C#, web development including JavaScript/HTML/CSS.
• Automation experience including PowerShell and MS Flow, RPA is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience (typically 5-10 years) of application development experience and supporting production business applications.
• Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud workloads including the creation of virtual machines, standing up databases storage and development environments preferred.
• Experience leading application delivery process.
• Prior working experience in a multi-operating company environment with proven experience leading large-scale projects or teams.
• Collaborative leader who demonstrates flexibility and can-do attitude as part of a motivated, high-performance IT Applications Team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to answer technical questions for non-technical users and explain things in a way that a business associate will understand.
• Passionate for learning and staying updated on emerging trends and technologies.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness to see tasks and initiatives through to completion with limited precedence and minimal guidance.
